Responsibilities
- As an analyst, you will work with governmental and non-governmental organizations from various sectors at the tribal level to develop, monitor, implement, and evaluate complex, interrelated public health data policies that are currently in place or that are predicted to be so.
- Using information from governmental and non-governmental organizations across several sectors at the tribal level, perform the role of analyst in the development, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of the present or anticipated complex, interrelated public health data policy.
- Draft directives, issuances, memos, policy statements, and agreements having legal implications in order to assess efforts that affect tribes and suggest efficient operations that align with the program’s overarching goals.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, which must include the following experience: utilizing and researching statutes, case law, and regulations related to data policy impacting tribes/tribal public health programs and/or initiatives; and assisting in the development and/or evaluation of operational policies, practices, methods, techniques to accommodate urgent tribal public health needs.
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which must include the following experience: evaluating and analyzing public health data and programs and policies involving tribes, Tribal epidemiologic centers, government and non-governmental organizations; representing tribal populations including sovereign nations; and providing recommendation on legal approaches focusing on tribal health priorities.
